This 600-year-old institution, situated nine miles east of Brussels, enrolls just 50 students annually from 30 countries. In the past two years, the school has boosted the number of women in the class to 40% from 18%, thanks to recruitment efforts and its own laudable example: The university board is 30% female.
Long, Strong Benelux Reputation
With autonomous university status, the school is the biggest in Belgium with strong links to industry. The constituent parts of the school have a long history of MBA education. Vlerick, for example, was founded in 1953 and when it was converted into a business school in 1988 it became Belgium’s leading school.
International Satellite Campuses
In 2006 the school integrated a campus on St. Bazil's island in St. Petersburg, Russia, where another 40 full-time MBA students are enrolled, and recently announced plans to launch full- and part-time programs at China's Peking University in October.
Triple Accreditation
Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School is one of a select group of institutions to hold the three main international accreditations: the American AACSB, the British AMBA and the European EQUIS quality label.
