Henley MBA Program Highlights

As part of the University of Reading, the Henley School of Management is one of Europe’s largest business schools and the oldest business school in the UK. It is one of the few schools to have triple-accredited status from UK, European and US bodies. Furthermore, it is the world’s third-largest MBA education facility.

Internationalization

The school has a diverse faculty and students from over 130 countries. Their business experience is global and spans the fields of commercial, public and voluntary sectors. They have more DBA graduates than any other school in Europe.

Experienced Peers

This is not a school for younger, less-experienced applicants. It concentrates exclusively on experienced managers, making it unique to most other schools. Most students have over 10 years of work experience and are already employed.

Coherence

Henley’s program puts students through 3 stages that segue into each other rather than having students take a series of unrelated courses. The stages are as follo

  • Stage 1, Managing the Organization – This part teaches the realistic basics of management in the modern age.
  • Stage 2, Making Choices – This part teaches commercial aspects and management strategies.
  • Stage 3, Making a Difference – This part has the student engage in a research-based project.

Research

As one might expect, research is a prime element of education at this school. It claims a high research output from its faculty, many of whom are published in print and other media. They have expertise in leadership, strategy, marketing, finance, real estate, development economics, international business and informatics.
