Established by the Danish Society for the Advancement of Business Education, Copenhagen Business School is one of Northern Europe’s three largest business schools with around 15,000 students and 400 full-time researchers. CBS strives to connect research-based knowledge with the business community at large.
Internationalization
CBS regards itself as an international university and develops its teaching and research according to international standards. It has a Language Policy in which Danish and English are used in all activities, and students are encouraged to be able to speak professionally in at least one additional language. CBS also welcomes around 1,000 exchange students each year.
Partnership with the Business Community
CBS creates study programs that are modeled to meet the needs of executives from Danish and foreign business communities. Many of its business research centers perform research jointly with other organizations, and it also collaborates with business communities through the CBS Partnership Program.
The Learning University
Students are an active part of the learning process at CBS, where the focus is on individualized learning, not education for the masses. CBS develops problem-based teaching methods and encourages staff to be innovative and flexible.
